Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has embarked on a one-month training stint with Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq,
The team currently led by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will have Lingard who is currently a free agent train with them, after leaving Nottingham Forest.
There is also a potential permanent move deal hanging around if Lingard impresses during his trial period.
The 30-year-old whose contract with Nottingham Forest ended in June, had two goals in 20 appearances with Steve Cooper’s side.
He had been training with former loan club West Ham, where he previously netted nine times in 16 games. However, a return to David Moyes’ side did not materialize.

Now, Lingard is set to join the ranks of former Premier League stars under Gerrard’s management. Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Demarai Gray, and Moussa Dembele have all found a home with Al-Ettifaq.
The club has started the new Saudi season impressively, winning five of their opening seven matches.
Lingard will be aiming to prove his fitness during the training stint, with the possibility of securing a permanent contract with the Middle Eastern club.
Lingard is a versatile midfielder who rose through Manchester United’s academy and played 232 games for the club, scoring 35 goals before his departure in 2022.
