Anambra. Chika Okafor, others die in Anambra lone auto crash

Ikechukwu Okafor, Media aide to former Aviation Minister, Chief Osita Chidoka, has lost his elder sister, Chika Okafor, at the age of 51 in Anambra.

Okafor, in a statement, said his sister died in a fatal motor accident that occurred on Saturday, August 12, along Abatete road in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State

He said the lone crash, which claimed the lives of all passengers onboard except the driver, involved a commercial Sienna bus belonging to Onitsha South Mass Transit.

The statement reads in part, “With a heavy heart and great sorrow, I announce the passing of my dear sister Chika Okafor.

“She died in a fatal motor accident that occurred along Abatete Road in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, on Saturday, August 12.

“Chika was my only sister. And the unfortunate incident left a huge pain in our hearts. She died at the age of 51.

We pray for God’s mercy and grace upon her and those left behind to mourn her.

“Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.”
